About Nate Baker

I work at Raven Internet Marketing Tools. Basically, we build great online software to do things like track metrics during marketing campaigns. I'm a user support specialist so when something isn't working or doesn't make sense, I jump in.

Before Raven, I worked for three years as Director of Technical Support at Sitemason, which is a content management system. (Think wordpress, but they offer support and more tools.)

Here I am on the left when I worked at Sitemason. I'm wearing a fake bowtie; I've grown a lot as a person since this photo was taken.

My life is saturated by the Internet. I'm connected for work and my favorite pastime is spinning up creations online. So, I enjoy taking breaks from technologies like Twitter every month to keep my mind sharp. I call it techfasting.

I'm fascinated by homelessness and want to leverage technology to help. I founded Click Homeless to support homeless bloggers. (Yes, a growing number of homeless have laptops, computer access, and mobiles. If you found yourself without a house, what would you keep by your side to stay connected with the world?)

I tell stories across various media and highlight the side streets of Nashville on my blog, Nate News. Here's why I blog.

Send me an email and let me know how we can collaborate!

Some Context

My family from left to right: Nate, Jonathan, Julie, and David. You should check out my brother's brewery based in Atlanta.

I grew up in northern Indiana and moved to Nashville when I was ten.

My dad gave me a copy of website editing software Dreamweaver in fifth grade. I've been making websites for profit or fun since.

I've been to Latin America eight times, including short trips to Mexico, Costa Rica, and Honduras. Ask me to tell you a joke en Español. I totally know one.

I only rode a motorcyle during my four years at Belmont University.

I went to MLK High School. As a young lad I worked at Oasis Center, where I coordinated Teenedge.com, a website for nashville youth run by youth journalists and webmasters.

I only rode a motorcyle during my four years at Belmont University. I wrote for the college paper, Belmont Vision, and interned at Nashville Public Radio. I graduated in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in journalism.

Now I'm exhausted from writing 10 paragraphs started with "I," "my" or "Now I'm." Let's talk about you. Email me!
